To
properly replace an air conditioning system you need to consider
the entire system. A properly installed system will have all
components match. Replacing one failed component and not ensuring
that the other parts match can lead to costly early failures and
higher energy bills.
When new, your air conditioning system was
comprised of properly matched components:
1. Indoor evaporator coil
2. Outdoor condensing coil
3. Properly sized refrigerant tubing
4. Properly sized circuit breaker or fuses
5. Properly sized electrical wiring
At a minimum, to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability and
safety, we recommend replacing the condensing unit, evaporator
coil, refrigerant tubing, and sometimes the circuit breaker/fuses.
